And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (Rom. 8:28)

God has a purpose.

God has a purpose for you and me.

God's purpose for you and me is to be conformed to the image of his Son.

Hey brother or sister in Christ, how well are you doing with this?

Keep pressing on,
Brother John

  • Hi Nate,

This is an encouraging verse. The Lord has recently brought it to my attention and focus by another brother named Paul.

Our purpose is not to be the smartest scholar, the wisest advisor, the richest investor, have the leanest body, be the most cleaver teacher, the most articulate preacher, nor must we possess the nicest house, the fastest car, or the fanciest blog.

God's purpose for you and me is that we be conformed to the image of his Son.

  • Awesome thought bro. John. Even the poorest saint living in the worst conditions can have this most wonderful of all graces in his or her life, to be like Christ! In fact God can use those things the world frowns on to do just that in us!
