Happy New Year!

His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is Thy faithfulness. Lamentations 3:22-23

Great is Thy Faithfulness

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.

Refrain

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Refrain

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Refrain

  • I love that hymn. I usually sing it when prayers are answered.

  • John this is one of my favorites as well and I really like Matthew's application.

    I hope all are well and you've been able to find some rest. I can only imagine how busy you must be!

    We will continue to remember you all in prayer.

  • You’re welcome Matthew.

    Amen! Thanks Brian for sharing that. From time to time my family will be singing or learning a hymn and then when we sing it in church they get a big thrill over it. God is good!

    Hi KC,
    Rose and I are getting enough rest (I think). Thanks for your prayers, God is and does answer when we pray. He is faithful. It is a blessing when we can apply good hymnology and incorporate into daily worship.

    Happy New Year!

    Brother John
