Becoming More Like Christ
I want to be conformed to the image of Christ and I want to exhort you to be too. This is both negative and positive.
Negative: Be not conformed to this world.
Positive: Be transformed by the renewal of your mind.
Any worldling can be a gossip, a backbiter, a slanderer, but Christian we are called to be like Christ. We need our thinking changed.
How can we do this?

Let go and let God.
A bit simplistic, but not far from the truth.
We have a new nature. We are created in Christ. We do not need to do anything to become like Christ.
We do need to appropriate that condition by faith, recognising ourselves as dead to sin and alive in Christ. We have to realise our heavenly identity. We also need to confess those sins that hinder us from walking in the Spirit.
Every Blessing in Christ

I am going to offer some suggestions on how Christians can do this. On the last post I quoted Paul who said,
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
There are some good ideas here; I hope to break it down a bit in my next post.
I'm glad you have an interest in this.
