  • Hi Mark,
I am not usually a minor league fan, but the Hens are in town and I enjoy the games with my family, Cub Scouts, and brothers from my ABF. It’s fun!

    Pass the peanuts please,
    brother John

  • Hi Marc,
When my brother, Pastor Donald Cole, came to Toledo from NY a few years ago we went to a Tigers game, the Yankees won that one... that same year my wife and I rooted the Champs on to victory from the Twins Stadium ;)

I still like the Tigers, but the Twins Stadium (at that time) was only about 10 min. from our intercity apartment.

  • Was that the 87 or 91 Twins John? I went to all the playof games and 2 World Series games in 87.

I think the Mudhens were associated witht the Twins way back when.

  • Marc,
It was the 91 World Series, but I mis-spoke (or mis-typed). Rose and I went to many Twins games in 1992 which is the only season we lived in Minneapolis. The only "away" team we rooted for that year were the Detroit Tigers.
In fact, we were the only ones in the stadium who were calling out their names when they were on base, and they tipped their hats in our direction. (Rose says she remembers the hot dogs and cotton candy more than that)

I don't know a whole lot about the minor leagues. In fact, I know little more than the cracker jacks about the major leagues anymore. :-)
